I’m a big boy now

I remember as a small child I, and everybody else I knew, always strived to be seen as older than they were or mature for their age. I did it, I remember the lies about how old I was and always aspiring to be like people who I saw as more mature and cooler Read More…

[Day 73] My favorite number!

I’ve had a fairly constant group of female friends since halfway through eighth grade. The only ones who I still consider part of the group, however, are Kelli, Mia, and Danika. And the people I’ve been closest to have been Kelli and Mia, both of whom I’ve already talked about in this forum. But I think the reason for that is because they talk so much. Read More…

I used to think I was pretty hot stuff. Well, let’s face it, I am hot stuff. But in a different way then I thought I was when I was twelve.

See, when I was twelve, I thought I would be this great lip sync-er. I don’t know where I got this idea, but one day it popped up and I just went with it. Could have been my calling. You never know, right? Read More…

[Day 71] An Encounter

Photo 394There is a girl that goes to my school named Celsey. Prior to her becoming one with our group, I could only observe her from afar, and, in the least creepy way possible, she fascinated me. Read More…

It was silent. The bags under my eyes seemed to sag lower, and my eyelids begged to fall into place. There was almost nothing in the world that I wanted more than to lie down on those cold blue benches and sleep. But it was cold and I’d forgotten a coat. So I kept my eyes open in the vain attempt to awaken myself. Read More…

Just so no one freaks out: I’m switching Monday and Thursday of this week because I really want to write about what happened today.

One of my friends recently traveled to a different state to visit her significant other in college. She’d been excited about the trip for a good while now, and everyone who knew her was excited as well, because her attraction to him was so genuine. It was a four day weekend, the perfect opportunity for her trip. She was scheduled to arrive home on Sunday afternoon. Read More…

[Day 68] Weeds

Dear Julio Noboa, (disclaimer… read the poem before the letter. It’ll make a whole lot more sense)

When I was in 6th grade, shy and afraid of the giant world of middle school, I was flipping through my literature book and came across your poem, Identity. I was unfamiliar with poetry completely, but I was so compelled that I copied down the entire poem in my notebook. But after being caught up in middle school drama, I no longer wanted to identify with the tall, ugly weed. I didn’t care if I was picked up by “greedy human hands”. I’d be pretty and therefore wanted, right? Read More…

[Day 67] Losing It

I had this idea after watching sXephil’s weight loss video, but I didn’t think I’d have the energy to actually film/edit it. Guess I was wrong.

[Day 66] Cars Cost Monies

Photo 390*name have been changed to protect the idiot* Last year, a boy by the name of *Frank* moved to my school. He came and sat down with my group of friends early that year, and then continued to seek me out in the hallways because he didn’t know anyone else yet. Now, I don’t know Frank very well, although he did invite me to train hop to Minnesota with him (with only Doritos as sustenance), but he’s important to me as a role model of what to never let my life become.
