I decided, after nursing my morning Tylenol PM hangover, that I really needed to work on my book. I haven’t for about a month. I also decided that I needed a change of scenery, and because there was some bizarre traffic issue and I got all turned around and went halfway to the mountains, I finally stumbled into Barnes and Nobles, my school year haunt. Puzzling
A billion splintered pieces
Some from the same picture
Some from a new one
Hold the shards in your hand
Clench
Feel the piercing in your palm
Watch the thin trickles of blood seep through your fingertips
And then put it all back together.
Maybe it will be something beautiful
But you can’t shake the feeling
That there are a few pieces
That will always be missing.
A rant of poetic proportions
Hello, college
Why yes, I would
love
to major in creative writing.
But what?
You have no freshman classes for me?
That’s fine, I’ll just take a-
Wait. What do you mean,
you don’t have any freshman english classes?
None?
I could understand no creative writing
I have to earn that.
But none at all?
None?
Zero?
That word strikes fear into my heart
Like Chase the creeper velociraptor
(thanks Chad).
But thank you,
college,
for offering ultimate frisbee as a class.
There may be space in my heart
to forgive you.

Video is now private, because Alex Day is a sexual harassing twat.
This post will remain up because it was for my Bri 2.0 project and otherwise I wouldn’t have a day 336.
Bri’s Own Health: An introduction

[Day 335] A HAIR-raising discussion
I’m so sorry. I just hung my head in shame at Borders for that title. But the title “Hair” just didn’t seem like enough. If you have a better, less pathetic attempt at a hair pun, please, tell me. Continue reading “[Day 335] A HAIR-raising discussion”
