Updates, updates, updates!

We will be having new content pouring into the site soon. I will be doing weekly music reviews for CDs and artists that I feel the need to comment on. If the samples he gives me are good, my little brother Vinny will be doing weekly movie reviews, for new and old movies. My friend Ben will be doing weekly politics. My friend Cody will (possibly) be doing weekly sports updates.

I still have openings for other weekly content:

Book Reviews: the only thing I'll ask for whoever wants to do this is that they attach and display the cover of the book you're reviewing.

Technology reviews: Every week pick a gadget or program to review and discuss the pros and cons, blah blah blah.

Original Blogs: these don't have to be weekly, just updated consistently. I'd love to get a couple more regular bloggers to talk about their opinions on today's world, regardless of subject. I love my current bloggers, but we don't post nearly as much as we could and my friends and I aren't very diverse with our views or writings style or interests. Mostly we all agree on the same things and find interest in similar subjects. I'm thinking one or two new bloggers for now.

To apply for any of these glorified positions, email me at brianna [at] brisownworld [dot] com with two (short, please) sample reviews or blogs that would give me an idea how your updates will look. Also realize that as webmistress, I have ultimate power, and if I want to delete one of your posts, feel the need to terminate your membership, or change the spelling/word choice in your posts, and I will exercise that power as I may.

And there are rules:

1. No profanity. If it's ABSOLUTELY necessary, then at least put ** in between letters. If I feel that your use is not appropriate, I will edit the post so that the profanities show as BLEEP. That will look stupid. I also maintain the right to delete your account if profanity becomes a problem.

2. No messing with other people's posts or the overall design of the site without consent from me or the original poster. I will terminte immediatly if this ever becomes an issue.

3. You have made a commitment, so please post weekly consistently. If there is ever a week you will be unable to post, email me directly and I will either post something for you or do something different that day.

4. Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, belittle anyone's personal views on religion or other issues. Hey, we all disagree on things. And arguing is fun. But do not ATTACK or BELITTLE a person's opinion. Unless, of course, they are being rude already, or arguing for the sake of arguing. But in that case, you can just be rude back. No belittling.

5. If you are ever wary of a post you are thinking of publishing on the site, wondering if it's too controversial or whatever, email me the post and I will make the final decision.

6. I have ultimate power, and I will use that power. Everything that I post and anything that my friends and other contributers post is our property. I will not stand for plagerism. If you ever want to repost someone's work or writing, talk to THEM FIRST, or if it's just a small thing, make sure you reference and link to the source.
