Well, although Bri usually introduces the discussion topic of... well, not really the week, so I guess it's the topic of however long we feel like discussing it. Anyway: I hope I'm not stepping out of bounds here, but I'd like to introduce our new discussion topic: China. China has been practically booming in the last few decades, and is well on its way to becoming a major world power, potentially replacing even the U.S., if not in military might, then definitely economically (which is pretty much anyone cares about these days). So what do you guys think: is China a potential world leader, or is this just a lot of hot air?

China certainly has the potential of being a power leader in the new world order. India too.
The Olympics will surely show us plenty on how they will deal with such a huge world event. There will be issues to face. Human Rights protesters, Tibet, organizational issues, pollution, etc.
The good, the bad and the ugly will surface during the Games.
