Which Governments are good for what.

Submitted by AP Partner on August 11, 2008 - 09:52.

We see different governments working and others not working, why is that? Mainly because certain governments work better that others depending on the situation in the country. Example: Communism worked to help get Russia back on its feet faster after WW1 and made the U.S.S.R a superpower after WW2.
But it wasn't set to cope with economic strains of a long term run. while democracy is hard to start up and get going. An example is that a lot of the democracies over the world we have set up after toppling a dictator have failed like Vietnam. Each government isn't perfect but each have their place.

That's an interesting way to look at it. It's true that although democracy is a fairly stable type of government, but it's extremely hard to start up. You almost have to start out with a temporary, less stable form of government before you move into democracy. I never thought of it that way.
