Cut

This past week, disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler was traded from the Broncos to the Bears.  As a PRIOR Cutler fan, I am skeptical of the trade for a few reasons:

  1. Cutler was the Broncos best player, by far
  2. Cutler was a pro bowl quarterback
  3. The Broncos offense last year was stellar
  4. The only reason he left was because the new coach is a rookie and not too bright so far
  5. The Broncos now have no legit franchise quarterback
  6. Thee team is now without a leader as of yet

However, if the Broncos use their newly aquired draft picks to draft a new quarterback (Mark Sanchez for instance), I’d be more than happy to support the trade.  The Broncos recieved 2 first round draft picks as well as a third rounder, the potential to build a good team is there.  However, if the Broncos choose unwisely, the trade will be extremely detrimental to the team.  We’ll see what happens…

Ugh…

So I just got home today, it’s frikin late.  We played our biggest league rival today in baseball, it was a huge game.  We had them on the ropes, they were down 4-2 going into the last inning.  And somehow, with a mix of bad umpiring and a crucial error that would have ended the game, we let them go up 6-4 and take the game.

I also played miserably, 0-4 with a strikeout…  I did hit a rocket into centerfield, but the kid made an amazing play on it, I continue to have bad luck on the field right now.  So I’m pretty depressed, it was a big game and I kinda blew it.  We’ve got another game tomorrow, then two out of town this weekend.  We’ll see what happens.

A short, short story.

And so she strolled quietly the cracked brick road. With the memories of the lost souls that once walked here floating around her. A tear slowly slipped her cheek. It was not cold but, considering the lace shawl and night gown she was wearing, it seemed freezing. Slowly she walked entrancently into what had once been the town’s square. She looked at the town and all it’s memories. The only thing that was still intact was a bench on which she sat and slowly gazed at the world around her. She was home again.

Have you ever had one of those days?

The ones when it feels like everything is falling apart? I think that those are the best and the worst at the same time. Why? Because, it really sucks while it’s happening, but later you go back and you look at what was happening and everything just seems clearer. For me it always results in some sort of  epiphany.
