Buffy the Vampire Slayer- Thoughts from 1 season in

How fitting that I’m talking about vampire slayers on Friday the 13th. Couldn’t have planned that better myself. So after spending my entire spring break watching the entirety of How I Met Your Mother (that’s six and a half seasons in less than a week, for those of you counting), I needed a new show. I finished the third season of Battlestar Galactica afterwards, but I wanted something I hadn’t seen before. A Valedictorian’s Valediction

I’ve been trying to write this poem for two years. I even tried writing a blog about the same subject, back in February of my senior year of high school. But it was kind of angry and not productive, and by the end of it I just got depressed. I was never happy with it, even though I had all these things to say. I finished my 8th book!

So technically, if we’re counting every single novel I’ve ever finished (novel being anything over 30,000 words, finished being the story is concluded), I just finished my 8th! Now, if we’re defining finished novel as “a story over 45,000 words that is concluded even if more editing is required that is actually good”, I just finished my fifth novel, but still. I’m twenty years old and I’ve written between five and eight novels, six of which are over 50,000 words. That’s pretty freaking cool. Continue reading “I finished my 8th book!”

The best of YouTube’s musicians

After a tragically long trip home from Rome, my roommate Colton and I got into a fight. We always get into fights when we’re exhausted, because we both have very strong (and usually, opposite) opinions about things. It’s fine, it doesn’t affect our friendship. We’re pretty much resigned to the fact that the majority of our relationship is disagreeing with each other.
