[Day 150] Out of Town

Wednesdays, I’ve decided, are going to alternate between “try something new” and “whatever I feel like posting that I don’t have any other opportunity to post”. Today, you get a list of animals and the names I would give them.

Female Dog: Emily Dickinson. “Em” for short.

Male Dog: Lord Byron. “Byron” for short. (Does this NOT sound like a great dog name??)

Male Goat: Remus. (I thought of this when I took my dog for a walk yesterday. I suppose it could be for Lupin in the Harry Potter books, but mostly I just want a goat named Remus)

Female Goat: Hermione. (Goats are surprisingly smart… and also kind of annoying)

Male Fish: Edward

Female Fish: Pippa (From A Great and Terrible Beauty)

Male Cat: Kartik (From A Great and Terrible Beauty)

Female Cat: Felicity (From A Great and Terrible Beauty)

Male Turtle: Cornelius or Albus (Need I explain this?)

Female Turtle: Sunny Dijon Larkson (Homage to my first ever novel protagonist from my first ever novel, Ash)

Male Hamster: Liam

Female Hamster: Bernadette (I once read a book where the main character really wanted a friend named Bernadette… then she got a hamster and named it that instead, since no one is named Bernadette anymore)

…I know. I know. I’m really really strange.
