As with most things I complain about in my life, The September from Hell is all my own fault. Mostly. This is a housekeeping blog of sorts, because I’m stressed and I have a blog and what’s the point of having a blog you don’t get to complain on? Answer: there isn’t a point unless you do it. So here I am. Doin’ it.
September 2nd I post #FF Tumblr trivia for Brains season 1 episodes 7 and 8, along with the bonus Twitter trivia for each episode.
September 3rd and 4th I begin filming my short film Ace and Anxious, which will mark my short film debut, my traditional filmmaking directing debut, and the end of my sanity for the foreseeable future.
September 5th I upload Marshall’s promo vid for Brains season 2, promote the crap out of it on our Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook pages, and make the end credit sequences for the whole season.
September 8th I upload a transmedia announcement/release schedule video for Brains season 2 and promote the crap out of it. That’s also the day Dana, who is my lead actress in the short film, is coming over to do ADR for her performance in Chris’s web series.
September 9th I post #FF Tumblr trivia for Brains season 1 episode 9, along with the bonus Twitter trivia.
September 12th I upload my promo video for Brains season 2, the final promo video before the release of the season, and promote the crap out of it.
September 14th I film another scene from my short film.
September 15th I upload a “previously on” video to the Brains channel, to quickly recap the important points from Brains season 1 before season 2 starts, and, you guessed it, promote the crap out of it.
September 16th I post #FF Tumblr trivia for Brains season 1 episode 10, along with the bonus Twitter trivia, and hype the new season.
September 17th and 18th we (in theory) wrap filming on the short film. Fun fact: We do not currently have one of the two actresses needed or a definite location for these scenes. Because where’s the fun in having your shit together when you could live in a constant state of panic?
September 19th BRAINS SEASON 2 PREMIERES, and our PromoteHorror promotion goes live, where they’ll post about us on their various social media for the next six days. As expected, on this day, I will be promoting the crap out of the new season.
September 22nd I upload the first minisode of season 2 and promote the crap out of it.
September 26th season 2, episode 2 goes up.
September 29th season 2, minisode 2 goes up.
September 30th may be my last day employed at MTV, as my current contract is a three month trial period that ends on the last day of September.
Things with no specific date attached that I have to do in September:
Work M-F at MTV from 10am-6pm
Finish editing Brains season 2
Finish casting and location locking the short film before the days we have to film
Continue posting to all of the Brains social media accounts (Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram)
Start posting to all the Brains transmedia accounts (Alison’s Tumblr, Carl’s Tumblr, Damian’s Twitter, Billy Jack’s Twitter, Billy Jack’s Mom’s Twitter)
Keep posting on my personal social media (Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram)
Do interviews with NetTVNow and PromoteHorror about Brains
Coordinate interviews with the rest of the cast and crew for NetTVNow and PromoteHorror
Maybe start job hunting
Start editing the short film so we can start submitting to festivals
