Well, so far this year has been pretty good for films, but I’m thinking its going to get a whole lot better this fall, and even in the next couple of weeks as some highly anticipated movies are going to be coming out. Here are the ones that I’m looking forward to the most…
5. Shutter Island
Martin Scorsese’s newest film starring Leonardo Dicaprio looks like another one of his great thrillers, especially coming off the oscar win for “The Departed”. I’m thinking this has just as good of a shot for a best picture nod.
4. Sherlock Holmes
Its nice to see a change of pace from Guy Ritchie’s gangster movies, as good as they are. Great new twist to Sherlock Holmes as an action hero with some humor.
3. The Road
After reading the book, I’m thinking that this could be better than “No Country For Old Men”, also a Cormac McCarthy novel. Hopefully, the movie will be more subtle than the trailer shows though, since that was how the book was.
2. Where the Wild Things Are
Seeing this trailer just gives me goose bumps every time. The children’s book was one of the best of all time, and the film seems to capture that spirit in the trailer.
1. Inglorious Basterds
After seeing all Tarantino directed films, I just can’t wait for this one. Just watching the trailer, you can tell that this will probably be a great script, and early reviews are saying that it doesn’t dissappoint.
