Best Chick Flicks (That guys enjoy too)

Disclaimer: I hate most romantic comedies. They usually keep the same jokes and always end up the same, making most of them unwatchable for me. There are a few though that I did enjoy, and I think could be liked by both genders.

Away We Go- Just got out in theaters, and I just love this movie. Its hilarious for anybody watching, and keeps the romance genuine and realistic, unlike the rest in this genre.

Definitely, Maybe- An interesting new take on this genre that works for the most part keeping the romance and comedy good, while not being quite as predictable as most.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days- This is the most cliche film I’ve ever seen, predictable to a “T” and yet I still enjoy it. The humor seems to transcend the normal romantic comedy and be accessable to more than its base audience.

Juno- Not exactly sure if this counts, but its a really enjoyable film for most people who watch it.

There’s Something About Mary- A much more crude version of romantic comedies, but its still a romantic film at heart and can appeal to both genders.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona- I actually liked this one a lot, well written and an interesting story driving this oscar winning film.

Wimbledon- Ok, I’m probably a bit bias since it has tennis, but I think that more guys would like this than the average rom-com. Again, very predictable, but better done than most.

Most of the other romantic comedies I’ve seen are forgettable to most guys.

  1. Saw it a while ago, didn’t really enjoy it that much… could have made the list if I had seen it more recently though

What's up, my dudes?
