Blog Slacker

Photo on 12-22-12 at 1.02 PMHey all. It’s been a while since I blogged. Over a month, according to the homepage. The last post I wrote was in the middle of NaNoWriMo, about reaching the 30,000 word mark and listening to a lot of Hoodie Allen. I’m going to have to review him at some point, but I haven’t quite gotten used to the fact that I now have a rather extensive hip hop section of my iTunes library. However, I’ve made some pretty great videos lately to make up for not blogging. In order since my last blog, I’ve vlogged about loving my collab channel friends, being done with NaNoWriMo, packing for Christmas break, feminism and boobs (that’s a good one, you should go watch that), playing games with friends, Project for Awesome, and death threats on the internet. Of course, all of that is no excuse. This website is first and foremost my BLOG, and thus I should be blogging. MY apologies.

So here’s a list style update to my life since November 16th, my last blog, because I am lazy and tired and don’t want to actually write a real blog.

1. Finished NaNo at over 55,000 words, then wrote a creative nonfiction essay and an informative speech about it.

2. Wrote an essay about third wave feminism and Margaret Atwood characters and subsequently became obsessed with feminism.

3. My mom came up to Oregon to visit me for Thanksgiving, during which we filmed a goofy video together and went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory

4. Got accepted into an internship with my school’s creative writing MFA program, which I will start on January 6th.

5. Officially got invited to IFA 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

6. Won my first poetry slam with poems about bromance, dead prairie dogs, and nerds and hipsters.

7. Finished the most insane semester of my life with all As (though with 2 A-s that made my GPA a 3.8)

8. Flew home to Colorado for the holidays

9. Caught up on Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, and starting watching the UK version of Being Human

10. Saw the Hobbit twice (so far….)

2012 has been an… interesting year, and I’m excited to see what happens next.

What's up, my dudes?
