The 15 Worst Parts About College

A lot of you seem to like lists, so here ya go! The 15 worst parts about college.

1. Walking up and down four flights of stairs to do laundry once a week.

2. People having sex in the next room, apparently unaware how thin the walls are.

3. Neighbors blasting dubstep at 4am.

4. Finding yourself in an unfamiliar city with unfamiliar people and trying to make a home out of it.

5. Core requirements that are completely unrelated to your intended field of study.

6. Freshmen orientation.

7. Moving in.

8. Moving out (packing up all the stuff you’ve collected over the year, finding places to sell back textbooks, getting a storage shed, etc, all while trying to study for finals)

9. Running out of meals on your meal plan a month before Christmas break.

10. Core requirements.

11. Mindless prerequisites for the classes you actually want to take.

12. Missing class for an activity (sports, speech and debate, etc) and catching hell from the one professor who doesn’t believe the world turns unless you’re in his classroom or doing his homework.

13. Being completely alone at first.

14. Knowing you’ll have to move out of the dorms and onto real life soon, with next to no safety net.

15. Core requirements.

If you’ve ever had problems with this, I promise, if you even follow a couple of these tips, you’ll come out ahead. Continue reading “HOW TO: Never Be Late To Anything Ever Again”

I cannot TELL you how many times I’ve seen someone get in trouble because they didn’t bring something, or how many times I’ve had to loan someone’s paper, pencil, etc during class. That’s why I made this handy list, so that none of us will ever be unprepared again! Continue reading “Things you should always bring to class”

HOW TO: Not suck at being a roommate

Inevitably, unless you’re super rich or something, you’re going to have to live with a roommate or roommates at some point in your lifetime. During college, you might end up having multiple different ones, and trust me, not all of them are going to be picnics. However, though you cannot change your roommates, you can change how you act as one, and maybe you’ll set a good example! Either way, follow these tips, and you will never be the roommate everyone else hates. Continue reading “HOW TO: Not suck at being a roommate”
