[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] In Defense of Twilight

Note from 2020: I won’t be editing this post but since it’s been getting a handful of views recently, please do keep in mind it was posted in 2010. I was 18 years old. I do not care about your opinions on Twilight and I barely care about my own. This lives on as an archive, not as a stated continued opinion or interest. If you want to know what my current interests are, check out my portfolio here.

With Eclipse coming out today, I felt it would be a good time to discuss a topic that’s been bugging me for a while. It seems like almost every self-proclaimed literature nerd on the internet absolutely hates the Twilight series, sometimes spilling over as a hatred for the author as well. And I think this is silly. So I thought that a post about why hating Twilight is stupid might be a good idea. If you don’t want to read it, though, I’ve included a video at the bottom of this post essentially saying the same thing as this post will. Continue reading “[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] In Defense of Twilight”

Three posts, one day?!?

I think blogging has become my excuse not to write. Like, write in novels and stuff. Which I really need to start doing. But blogging is so much more FUN. Actually, that’s a lie. It’s equally fun, but more immediately gratifying. Anyways. That’s not the point of this post. What is the point of this post? I actually don’t remember… Continue reading “Three posts, one day?!?”

[Bri 2.0 BONUS] On being alone

Last night, after hanging out at a friend’s house with a couple people playing ping pong and watching Food Network, I took my favorite Anakin Skywalker towel up to our second floor porch and lay on my back. It was a lightly stormy night, with enough clouds to facilitate the sporadic strikes of lighting but to also still see the stars. I found the Big Dipper and Casseopia, my favorite constellation by far. It was 83 degrees, if the sign on my way home was anything to go by, but the wind made it feel much cooler. [Bri 2.0 BONUS!] Cleaning out my archives

Before updating my iPhone to OS4 yesterday, I had to delete unused footage from my iMovie archive because there wasn’t enough space on my computer to facilitate an upload. This has spurned a need in me to delete as much of the old crap on my computer as I can find. And that means starting with the expansive folder entitled “Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here”. Yes. There is actually a folder on my computer called that. So I thought it would be fun to post some of the crap I have from… well… ever ago. Also, I now have a plugin that tweets when I post, so I want to test that out. Continue reading “[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] Cleaning out my archives”

[Bonus!] Question Mark

I’m at Borders right now, waiting for the other debate people to show up, catching up on the blog. I wrote and posted yesterday’s and today’s teeshirt week blogs, and then drafted tomorrow’s. Then I wrote a short journal entry and updated my Facebook and Twitter. Now I’m staring at my computer, feeling like I’m not done. Continue reading “[Bonus!] Question Mark”

How long has it been since I last blogged?

Too long. I am sorry. Possible excuses: 1. I’ve been busy. That’s true, but how many hours do I spend in front of YouTube when I’m NOT busy? 2. I’m always too tired. This is also true, but again, there have been plenty of opportunities in which I could have blogged earlier in the day before I exhausted myself. So if it’s not #1 and it’s not #2, then it must be #3… I’m a lazy and horrible webmistress.photo-184 Continue reading “How long has it been since I last blogged?”
