Anna and the French Kiss
I think I’ve mentioned on this site before that I want to be John Green when I grow up. I want to write books and make YouTube videos for a living and have an adorable baby and be awesome. That sentence made sense at the beginning… ah well. Anyways. Recently, John has begun advocating a book, Anna and the French Kiss, in his videos, and I was curious, so I asked for it for my birthday. Blog schedule #fail
Sorry no blog on Friday. I had scheduled posts from like a month ago up until Monday, so I guess I forgot. That’s not entirely true. I remembered, but I didn’t have internet for the majority of the day and when I did have it I was so wiped out from speech that I couldn’t type anything coherent. So here is your post. About speech. Continue reading “Blog schedule #fail”
[Day 336] Pen Pal (An open letter to Alex Day)
Video is now private, because Alex Day is a sexual harassing twat.
This post will remain up because it was for my Bri 2.0 project and otherwise I wouldn’t have a day 336.
[Day 333] VidCon recap! (blog and picture version)
So you’ve probably already watched my video on this subject, because you’re probably like me and have a short attention span when it comes to blogs, so given the opportunity to watch a video instead, you jump for it. Or that’s just what I posted first. Hm. Ok, and also, I would just like to warn you/ apologize for the fact that this blog will probably take forever to load. There are a lot of pictures. Continue reading “[Day 333] VidCon recap! (blog and picture version)”
[Day 292] Teeshirt week 3: Nerdfighters
A couple of years ago, I watched this video, which featured Maureen Johnson and Libba Bray, two of my favorite female writers. I had no idea who “Brother John” was, but I thought the video was funny. Then, a couple years later, I stumbled across a Youtube channel called “vlogbrothers”. After a couple videos and the realization that one half of the channel was an author that I had just discovered, John Green. (Yes, “Brother” John). I wrote him a letter back on day 125, which you can read here. (it’s weird that I can say things like that.) Continue reading “[Day 292] Teeshirt week 3: Nerdfighters”
[Day 236] Potato cooking
I watch their backs as my brother leads his girlfriend -in his awkwardlybsweet manor- to the stairs. The door closes softly behind them, and I realized how unbearably lonely I’ve become.
So that’s not entirely true. It’s not like I’m Princess Mia- desperate for a boyfriend… Or for anything at all. I’m just… Lonely. Continue reading “[Day 236] Potato cooking”
[Day 125] Project for Awesome 2009!
Dear John Green,
Congratulations on the baby and the huge success on Project for Awesome. I didn’t make a video, but tried to rate and comment on everyone else’s. I hope it was as successful as you planned. Continue reading “[Day 125] Project for Awesome 2009!”
