Hulk vs. Hulk

Ok, so today I’m gonna be comparing the two Hulk movies that have recently come out, the first one with Eric Bana, and the newest one with Edward Norton.

So I hardly know anyone besides my dad who likes the first one better, but I myself am not sure which one I like better, so I’m gonna compare a few different aspects of them.

First off, lets compare the look of the Hulk…

Winner: Old Hulk- The new one just doesn’t look like the ones from the comic books, too many veins sticking out.

Next, the lead actor…

Winner: Tie- While Eric Bana is better fit for the part, Edward Norton is easily the better actor, making this impossible to choose.

Next, the leading lady…

Winner: Old Hulk- Jennifer Connely is a better actress and looks better for the part than Liv Tyler.

The villain

Winner: New Hulk- Banner’s dad has a cool power, but just doesn’t have as interesting of a character as Eric Roth’s Abomination.

Pacing

Winner: New Hulk- We didn’t have to wait as long to see the Hulk in action in this one, and it just flowed much better.

Originality

Winner: Old Hulk- The new one is just page for page basic filmmaking for a superhero, the old one though had the comic book style editing that I thought was a cool way of doing it.

End Fight

Winner: New Hulk- The old one had about a 2 minute fight that hardly qualifies as an action sequence, while this new one included two giant monsters going at it for about 10 minutes.

So I think this wraps it up, according to the score, Old Hulk has 3 and the New Hulk has 3, dangit. I think it just depends on the day for me deciding which one I like more, I want to hear your thoughts, which do you like better?

  1. I haven’t seen the old one, but I really enjoyed the new Hulk. It was a close second to Iron Man for my favorite movie last summer.

What's up, my dudes?
