When I was about six or seven, my grandparents still lived in town, just a few miles away. It was Valentines Day, or close to it, so they decided that warranted a trip to the local Toys R Us*. Our limit was ten dollars. Continue reading “[Day 315] Marooned Week 7: Goodnight”

[Day 314] Marooned Week 6: *manly voice* SPORTS
I swear, this is not an homage to “Castaway”. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen that movie all the way through. I also think Tom Hanks is kind of creepy. So again, I don’t want to hear it.* And just so we are clear, as well as having recharging capabilities, my planet also has the ability to air up sports equipment. Continue reading “[Day 314] Marooned Week 6: *manly voice* SPORTS”
[Bri 2.0 BONUS] Cleaning up
If you hadn’t noticed, the site slogan changed for the first time in nearly four years. “Because life’s more fun under critical analysis.” Alternations I can up with: “Because life’s more fun as a cynic” and “Because life’s more fun when you’re sarcastic”. Continue reading “[Bri 2.0 BONUS] Cleaning up”
[Day 313] Marooned Week 5: Keep me warm
People deal with things in different ways. When I’m upset, I either bury myself in Youtube or write. Lately, my mom has been dealing with current events by quilting, something she gave up a long time ago because she was too busy focusing on everyone else. Continue reading “[Day 313] Marooned Week 5: Keep me warm”
[Day 312] Marooned Week 4: Musica
If you can’t already tell what my next item is, then you’re either stupid or haven’t reached your concrete operational stage of development yet.* And just to clear up any misconceptions that I know are going to pop up, yes, I have the ability to recharge things at will. Continue reading “[Day 312] Marooned Week 4: Musica”
[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] Cleaning out my archives
Before updating my iPhone to OS4 yesterday, I had to delete unused footage from my iMovie archive because there wasn’t enough space on my computer to facilitate an upload. This has spurned a need in me to delete as much of the old crap on my computer as I can find. And that means starting with the expansive folder entitled “Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here”. Yes. There is actually a folder on my computer called that. So I thought it would be fun to post some of the crap I have from… well… ever ago. Also, I now have a plugin that tweets when I post, so I want to test that out. Continue reading “[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] Cleaning out my archives”
[Day 311] Marooned Week 3: Literature
You had to know this was coming. I mean, there’s really no way to get around it. As with most writers, I was first a reader. I couldn’t just give that up after being marooned. And the first book I really fell in love with was Harry Potter. Continue reading “[Day 311] Marooned Week 3: Literature”
[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] Biology, explained
I just found this in my archives while brainstorming for next week’s theme week, high school tips and tricks. It’s back from freshman year, and I think it’s hilarious. Also, weirdly helpful. Continue reading “[Bri 2.0 BONUS!] Biology, explained”
[Day 310] Marooned Week 2: Yummy
Keep in mind that all my survival needs are taken care of, and that anything I want to bring to the planet will work. As for today’s item, yes, I will have water-boiling capabilities and two tablespoons of canola oil handy when I need them. So I don’t want to hear it.
